CUSHIONING FOAMS

Foam is quite literally at the core of every cushioning, padding, or seating project. The reason polyurethane foam conforms to applied pressure is that it has open cells. When the foam is fully formed, the cells are filled with air. When we sit on the foam, we force the air out and restrict its ability to return to the open cells. This is what causes the foam to compress and change shape. When we stand up, the open cells are no longer restricted, air returns and so does the shape.

BIO-BASED MTL

The disposal of large amounts of waste from daily use polymers is among one of the foremost concerns in the current era. Effective utilization of bio-renewable materials procured from natural sources has been proposed as a potential solution to this problem. Biomass feedstocks significantly reduce the carbon footprint and their production process may be more energy-efficient than petroleum-based polymers.

Our product – Bio-based open cell foams standardized by  ASTM D 6866 quantify the bio-based content from 15 to higher 30%.
